An eight-week study led by Pastor Paul Doellinger entitled, "Christianity and The Competition." This video-based series is presented by Dr. Paul L. Maier, who is the Russell H. Seibert Professor of Ancient History at Western Michigan University, the Second Vice-President of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and much-published author of both scholarly and popular works.
Christianity and The Competition looks at sacred and secular sources to establish the credentials of Christianity. It goes on to enlighten us about religions of the Far East, the Middle East, Islam, and various Western religions encountered in America today, such as Mormonism, cults, and Scientology.
Dr. Maier will take us through a Christian response to the various beliefs and claims of “the competition”. Each week we will view video and then enter into a period of discussion on that week's topic. Each week is different so feel free to come to all or any of these presentations.
